World Encounter
Program is your unique
opportunity to combine education, travel, and altruism. When you
join IRI for a World Encounter, you will do more than enjoy professionally
arranged tours of the world's most fascinating natural locations; you will
actually be contributing--in a tangible and verifiable way--to the improvement
of conditions for the local people.
Current Encounters All of IRI's proceeds beyond our basic operating costs will be applied to programs that benefit the local residents of the areas in which we operate. From donating boats for local fishermen, to providing skilled assistance in information technology to schools, to aiding the efforts of locally-operated nonprofit organizations, IRI will ensure that your "vacation" with us accomplishes three primary goals: Education for you through direct experience, Recreation unsurpassed by any commercial tour operation, and Contribution to a variety of projects aimed at empowerment of local citizens.
