North Sulawesi is turning out to be the perfect place for all four of IRI's areas of activity.  Choose from the links below, and learn more about what we have already established here, and our immediate plans for the next six months.  North Sulawesi:  Geography, Ecology, Economy, and Culture The IRI Sustainable Development Project in North Sulawesi Encounter North Sulawesi:  Diving, Trekking, Homestay, and Research IRI's Newest Staff Member:  One of Indonesia's Top Marine Scientists Later in the year, we will continue to move towards creating our World Encounters at Sea® experiential education program.  Specific activities in the works include: Finalizing negotiations with Yayasan Pemgembangan Sumber Daya Laut for the construction of a 14-16 meter wooden sailing vessel in Ujungpandang, Sulawesi. Completion of SCUBA instructor certification for the current full-time faculty and staff.
